This is a traditional Bengali thin Lassi made with infusion of king lime “Gondhoraj Lebu”. This fragrant, healthy and delicious drink is one of the best coolant for summer
Ever since I have moved to Kolkata, I have often heard of this lime and this drink was so good that I knew I had to buy these limes and prepare it at home. Omg!! when I sliced these lemons, it filled the aroma in the kitchen and its zest can really brought out rich flavor to the food. This Lime is now a regular addition in my food

Gandharaj Lemon is a distant cousin to Kaffir Lime but in truth it’s more fragrant than it’s cousin Kaffir Lime. Even today , this is also called as East India’s aromatic lemon. Gandharaj or Gondhoraj is a lovechild of mandarin orange and common lime . Now this lemon and it’s leaves can generate such a rich aroma that no other lemon can do hence this is also called as King Lime. Now this Lime only grows in soil of Bengal, India and nowhere else. Till date, it remains, true to it’s soil
*If you do not get Gondhoraj lemon, then you can substitute it with Kaffir Lime but yes, you would miss out the taste that only Gondhoraj can impart
