Simple to make, these delicious chivda requires lesser time to prepare and is one of the perfect snack to munch on whenever hunger or boredom strikes. This is the perfect combination of sweet – savory snack with added spices which makes this crunchy snack absolutely delicious

Originally these chivda is made with dried yellow corn flakes available easily in markets not ready to eat cereals , since I have used ready made cereals, I had to fry this in oil first separately, I used only 1 tsp oil to saute it, you can ideally shallow fry the cornflakes , this will help the cornflakes to absorb the spices and sugar better. With the pandeminc on, I managed to get ready to cereals and made this chivda with the same.
Since I wanted to make it healthier, I have reduced the amount of oil. The Original chivda was made frying each ingredients separately then mixing them together with sugar and spices
Mother used to prepare this on weekends and then store it in airtight container for us, we used to then munch on them with cup of tea post school on weekdays. With the pandemic on, I decided to share the recipe with the ingredients available in my pantry and it didn’t last for more than 2 hours :P.. so go ahead and try and let me know how it turned out 🙂
*If you like it spicy, do not add sugar, only chat masala however if you like taste of mix of sweet and spices then add both sugar and chat masala
**You can always adjust the spices and sugar as desired. Optionally you can add in more dry fruits or skip them
